Example Systems sell a point of sale application package called POSitive targeted at the Video/DVD sales and rental markets, where they are a market leader. 

The software package, which has been sold running on Raining Data’s D3 database, has been migrated to jBASE and will only be sold on this database in the future.  Amongst the reasons for this strategic business decision are the additional easy to implement features available with jBASE such as “Transaction Journaling”, the jEDI interfaces to other database environments and the support available to a reseller from jBASE Software Ltd.

Example Systems will begin to deploy the jBASE version of their application in the near future and will over time look to migrate all their POSitive and video rental users to jBASE.  jBASE Software Ltd will provide Example Systems with the ability to provide customers with a load and go application suite for use either by large multi-site or franchise operations.
