Java OBjEX defines jBASE BASIC and other important jBASE elements to the Java
environment and allows the interaction of jBASE with any Java technology. Java
OBjEX's versatility allows it to be used with any Java integrated development
environment such as Visual Age and WebSphere. It can also be used to create
Enterprise Java Beans. When it is used with a Java Application Server, Java
OBjEX and jBASE yield a robust scalable implementation of an application for the
Web or any Distributed Environment.
jBASE COM-based OBjEX
jBASE COM-based OBjEX defines the multidimensional jBASE model for development
using Microsoft standards with products such as Visual Basic, VBA, Delphi, etc.,
including members of the Microsoft Office Suite. Using OBjEX a developer can
take advantage of all of the functionality of the jBASE database management
system as well as the additional benefits of the jBC language.
