jBASE can support any number of different terminal types both on Unix and NT/Win9x platforms. In addition jBASE also provides a mechanism for extending the default terminal definitions as well as a built-in terminal type cross reference facility. Keyboard input can also be handled by independent of terminal type by the jBASE common key routines.
When choosing a terminal emulator check that it provides all the features required by your application. Some emulators vary significantly from the definitions. For VT100, VT220 and ANSI, we have found that CRT provides the best emulations.
